A good dog is hard to beat!

A friend of mine asked me to go on a day hunting trip.  Part of the day was going to be spent in pursuit of squirrels.  This can be very challenging to just see the critters in the big oaks.  Well, Max brought along his dog and said the dog will help us.

We were only in the woods a min, when the dog went up to tree and put one paw on the trunk, Max said that there was one squirrel in that tree, and sure enough there was!

A bit later, the dog put 2 paws on a trunk of a tree, and Max said that there are 2 squirrels in this tree, and there was.

A few min later, the dog picked up a stick and started to shake it and growl... I asked what was going on. Max replied, that there were more squirrels up in this tree than you can shake a stick at!!

Was that dog in Washington DC by chance? Old joke but still amusing.

How funny-dogs are a lot smarter than we give them credit.  Good luck with your hunting.

If only my dogs were that smart.  Boy, I hope they aren't reading this, they will feel bad.

My dog is not so great at communication, but he sure can make food disappear.

I heard a slightly more adult version of that one that starts with the dog humping his leg before shaking the stick. You figure the rest out. I was a little worried when I saw you might be beating dogs but I'm glad you have finally put a stop to that.

For another squirrelly post, check out my UC Davis sex story. It'll make yor dawg set-up and howl.
