About a week ago there was a knock on the door.
Fred and Mary were standing at our front door.
When I opened the door, Mary blurted out..."WE heard Judy had surgery so we can to help."
They had brought a hot dish and a cake.
WE invited them in. They had no idea what surgery Judy had, but they wanted to help us.
Judy and I, 2 years ago, Helped them out when things were tough. It was meals, wood for the stove and
we had gathered other volunteers to help also, and got them through the winter. Including clearing snow from the driveway and side walks. (Fred had had shoulder surgery)
"You helped us so much that we feel we had to do something to re-pay you."
"You don't OWE us anything. WE helped because you needed help and we wanted to help.
You don't owe us a thing, but if you are here just to help us, then thank you."
Judy is doing very well. So we put Fred and Mary onto another family that needs some help.
WE paid it forward...and it was coming back to us!
Remember, The help you give may come back to you, only from a different direction!
WE put on this holiday dinner for a family who's bread winner was injured and could not work.
Good morning again William. How very special this and you are. Touching but important.
Funny you should blog this.
Today after church several of us are going to cut wood for a family that needs some help. The ladies have their own agenda for them.
Good morning William,
Nice to see some put the right foot forward.
Make yourself an astonishing day.
Good moring, William Feela. You have made the process of paying it forward a true art form! I'm a big believer in what you put out in the universe come back to you. Well done!
Good morning William Feela,
I'm with Nina Hollander " You have made the process of paying it forward a true art form!" I too am a believer what goes around comes around. The message you broadcast resonates with others.
Good morning, William Feela what a great way to express kindness and thoughtfulness to those in need..... Sheila Anderson said it perfectly... "How very special this and you are."
This is so true!!! You get what you want in life, if you help enough other people to get what they want...Zig Zigler
That's wonderful, William. I am very gratified to read about such warm and caring people.
Caring without the "too typical"....what can I do for You ? just doing it...sooooo much better !
Thank you for making a difference and for being a caring indiidual to others.
William Feela - What a loving group of people you are involved with. ❤️
That's a wonderful thing, William. That's the way communities and friends are supposed to work! I love it when it happens!
CONGRATULATIONS William, on having this blog FEATURED in the Old Farts Club group!
Hi William! I hope Judy is doing well and what a wonderful way to pay it forward to those who are truly in need. But, God bless Fred & Mary for reaching out to help when you could, very well have used the assistance.
Happy Sunday!
Hi William This is what makes communities and friends so special. Hope that Judy is well and thank your wonderful neighbors!
I love paying it forward...
My brother cares for and lives in my moms home in a subdivision which saw it's hay-day a very, very long time ago. He and my mom came over and we rode out to the mall and did some shopping. On the way back I decided to treat them to a Starbucks coffee. When we finally got through the long drive thru lane the cashier told us our tab had been paid by the person in front of us. My brother was astonished! He said that would never have happened in i eighborhood and could just not believe someone would pay for our coffee. I told him it can happen in your neighborhood. It starts with one person doing for someone else without blaring of the horns or putting it in the paper.
William Feela helping others with no thought of a return is how we are supposed to do for our fellow man. Unfortunately, fewer people realize or do this. They are missing so much joy in the giving...
Hi Bill, Now this is the kind of surprise I like to get, and to give. We need to help and support each other, that is why we are here on earth - for each other. Thanks for being a good example for others to follow and pay it forward.
Good heart warming story William. Helping others in time of need and giving back is community living at its best. Nice to hear you live near others who get it. Good Judy is well.
Bill, You and Judy have done this since you got married almost 20 years ago.
Kido's to the both of you
