Most stores has some form of music.
It seems to be a debated topic for many.
The store I frequent so often has some loud headbanging music playing.
I get what I want and leave. If I shopped longer I would buy more.
I don't want to hear the elevator music either.
But what ever you play...Keep it so you don't have to yell at your shopping companions!
I often thought what about some soft running water.
My wife said because the Restrooms would be full all the time!
Be thankful you are saving money by not hanging around the store. 30 years ago if you would have told me they would be playing Led Zepplin at the grocery store I would have said you're nuts. I guess it's all relative.
LOL at your wife's comment - how true it is, William!
I've never understood why some stores play their music so loudly. It really does prevent relaxation and therefore, spending more money!
Morning William.
I don't buy any form of music, haven't done it in years. Like movies I don't rent or buy them either. If they are not on the TV I don't watch them
Good morning, William Feela your wife is as funny as you.... LOL....
I agree with Barbara. But yea, that would be much more relaxing.
Good morning William - It might be thematic for the products being sold. However, if it doesn't fit then they need to do some work on finding the right music.
Certain music can be really annoying. My health club always had great music for years and years. But, recently, they've been playing hip-hop, which I hate.
Do tell... which store is it?
When I was in then Navy, I had left my eight track at my old place of business and they let it run for four years straight. The same tape was running when I got out of the Navy that I had left when I was going into the Navy....
Good afternoon again William. I think your wife is pretty smart. Finding a balance is important.
I bet you are not the only one feeling the need to leave in a hurry !
William Feela it is annoying when the music is too loud...more so when it isn't the type one likes! LOL
I agree with your wife's statement. but I have also become annoyed with music being too loud in stores from time to time.
Some restaurants do that too, Bill. The music is loud and unpleasant and makes me want to get my food to go.
William, you are right, some stores play music so loud, it is tough to have a conversation.
My complaint is about the terrible music some have when the phone goes to hold.
William Feela You've given yet another reason to shop online. And your wife makes a really good point!
Bill: Funny you wrote this. I was grocery shopping on Sunday and they were playing 60s songs and just happened to be a few of my favorites. So I was singing along ... not loud... but enough to get a few looks by other shoppers. LOL. Hey, the songs made me happy grocery shopping, which i don't like doing, so I was loving the music and it made the shopping go more quickly. Think I was moving more quickly too!
I agree with your wife about the running water William Feela . I really don't mind any kind of music as long as like you that it is not to loud.
