The Minnesota growing season is coming to an end

It was very chilly last night.

39 degrees this morning.

the average first frost in North Branch, Mn. is this week.

The weather needs to stay nice for the farmer

Although,  NO freeze is best.

We can only hope that the weather holds out for them.

For now be ready to bring in the harvest before the frost hits it;

The harvest will last longer

Dear William,

Depending on what you are picking, a wee bit of frost can be ok for sweeter veggies. Hopefully, it will only touch the frost zone & not give you a ten degree hammer the first night.

Down in the high 30's the last couple of mornings for us.  Fall is certainly in the air although the forecast is in the 80's later this week.  Enjoy it while we can.

Morning William.

The first real cold spell will hit us next month.  So we have a few days before the leaves will start turning.  I wish we had a few more months, but it is what it is

Leaves are turning already.  Garden plants are shutting down naturally.  Fall is knocking at the door.

I always love the "growing" season, William.... consuming the freshest of fruits and vegetables from local farmers.  We are blessed, these days, to be able to buy fresh fruit and veggies all year long, though.  Happy Autumn.
