Today I was talking with an elderly client.
We started talking about the days we had to make our own fun.
Days where we ran out of the house and didn't return until supper.
Those days are long gone.
But for a giggle, I wonder how many people know the connection, or better
yet have done this themselves
Caps and rocks! Can you even buy caps anymore? Good times!
I know indeed what fun that was. I had two brothers and when their pistols weren't working, a rock was better.
William Feela no clue at all...but from the first two comments I am guessing some type of fireworks (in mini)?
Just this past week, a group of us seniors were talking about the neighborhood we grew up in. Kids were free to walk to the movie theater, the library, or any of the shops and stores that stretched for a couple of blocks near our home. We were free range kids. Streets were safe, and we could explore on our own, and learn independence. In today's world, parents would be arrested for allowing children to stray from their side. Their safety is at issue. It's all very sad.
I often used a hammer if all else failed. Have not seen caps in years.
Good morning again William. I too can remember those days. I miss them.
