William's Blog...with a smile!

When did you hear the National Anthem?

When did you last hear Our National Anthem?

Think about it.

This was on a talk show on one of my favorite radio stations.

Well, it was a consensus that it was most likely a Sporting Event.

The Dems and Reps played it during Their National Conventions.

But when else?

I honestly can not tell you when I heard it last that it was not one of these places.

You don't hear it at a theater before the show.  Why?

We are working at pushing GOD our of the legal system.  and we are pushing him out of our schools.

What next...are we going to take candy from babies?

We go to lots of sporting events and school events for the grandkids so hear it often. I even hear it at noon at Mission Barbecue when I eat lunch there.

Morning William.

During the weekends I listen to it each morning  on a national TV program.  Otherwise it's been a few months, pity

I hear it early in the mornings on Fox News several times a week. Totally agree that we should be hearing it played much more often.

Good morning William. Too much liberal thinking is not a good thing. All things in balance or you lose your foundation. Balance is the key. Enjoy your day

You deserve a GOLD star on this one.

It is so true that we hear it during some kind of sporting event more than any other activity

Bill, not exactly why God got kicked out of school...I am sure he always get great grades. Since most school districts in the USA are not government entities (independent school districts) I do not quite get it.

My Son has learned to play the National Anthem on his Ukulele so I hear him  play it often. Other than that, usually at sporting events.

@Wayne - "Good morning William. Too much liberal thinking is not a good thing. "  I don't disagree with that.  I also think too much conservative thinking is not a good thing either.  That's the crux of the issue in my view.  Each side thinking they have a stronghold on truth, facts, and decent ideas.

As far as to the post - I tend to side of being rather careful in interwining politics and one's religious beliefs/affiliation (though, it's historically hard to avoid).  I mean, let's be honest, whose God are we talking about?  Religion, by and large, is man made.  That's not to say there isn't a higher power ... just to insinuate let's be careful defining the world by our version of such.

Bill, I heard yesterday that ESPN is not going to broadcast the playing of the National Anthem before pro football games. So sad!
