William's Blog...with a smile!

Do you treat people well?

We all have had those people who are just plain mean.

No matter what you  say  it is wrong.

But, lets us turn the tables and look at ourselves.

When we are looking for help and it may be a little slower at coming than you wold like...

Do you still show those giving the service some respect?

Do you treat those people the same way you want to be treated?

Some self examination cold be in order

Seems of late....the mean has been raising its head/hand in this forum...and that is most unfortunate.

Morning William.

The hateful people are out in force lately.  They really need to be censored, but that would violate their freedom of speech.

I work very hard William Feela to treat people the way I wish to be treated. Sometimes it's hard... and I've learned to listen to my gut and to stay away from the mean people.

William,

Those who are mean are really striking at themselves...it is not intended to the person.  A

Good morning William. It is a great question and important to remember. Love the cartoon.

There seems to be an agenda in this country to keep folks divided.  I have a few ideas as to why it may be.  I suspect the advent of "Citizens United" in 2010, made it so profitable to the political party system to have diabolical opposing views, in order to tap special interest money. The lunatic fringes now prevail.  The center, and common sense have no lobby in Washington.

Now is a very good time to share some kindness.

Have an outstanding week.

Yes, all the way back to the Scots poet, Robert Burns in 1786, "Would the power [G-d] give us to see ourselves as others see us." How do we see ourselves behaving versus how do we really behave? All the best - Lynn

Customer service can and will dpeend on your attitude towards the person providing the service

I don't think you can go wrong by being nice to others.

Attitude counts.

William, when given the choice of being right or being kind...choose kind. I heard this "precept" in the movie Wonder, spoken by a child in the classroom.

I embrace that daily!

Love your photo of Minnesota, by the way. It's so inviting.

Hil William- this is so true. If we would stop and think of the Golden Rule, we might change some of our actions.

I was a bit quick tempered in my youth, but these days I tend to be laid back treat everyone as well as they allow me to.

I'm usually pretty calm and diplomatic, even when I am feeling stressed. Being nasty, rude, or hurtful to others accomplishes nothing!

If I'm grumpy, it's ususally with myself, not others.  There is no way I'd ever be rude to someone else - there is always a choice of walking away.

No matter my mood I always try to remain civil to those around me. I cannot imagine taking it out on some innocent bystander or even worse someone who is trying to help me.

Hi William,
For the most part, I can say yes but I do find myself getting impatient with incompetence.  I need to realize I don't know the backstory and to just be patient.  Thanks for the reminder.

My mother is that person that I never want to emulate.  I spend all of our time together striving to make up for the harshness she leaves behind.  As such, I will never be mean to anyone.  I see the reactions from the people she interacts with and it isn't pretty.

When I am really angry with a company I always try to convey to the person on the phone that I know it's not their fault and that I'll appreciate any help they can give. I know those customer service people must get an earful of anger on an hourly basis.

At a community on computer help, I was one of the 3 in the room. A very late hot head- #3 wanted to know something, I pointed at the guru behind as he was volunteering for Q&A. The volunteer asked her a question please take a number. She interrupted and other lady told her not to cut in.  I offered my answer and she said I don't look like I know anything. PC is developed a couple miles away and a lot of these folks like us actually pioneered the internet and computer. So I got up and walked away. The volunteered said to her you do not provide me with enough information we can not help you.

Everyday we meet these folks.
