William's Blog...with a smile!

Carpenter ants do not build anything...

Carpenter ants do not build anything, they eat it down.

On a recent listing appointment I noticed ants, large ants around an outdoor shed.

I told the home owner that he had a major issue.

He disagreed.  I bet him that if he took off one panel and there was no issue, I would give him $100 to fix the place he tore the board off.   If I am right, he would give ME the listing.

I think I may have won the bet!

Wow!!! William Feela - I bet he had to give you the listing plus learned to trust the real estate professional he hired!

I really think they should call themselves demo ants for what I've seen they can do to a house or other structures.

Morning again William.

Hmm, how many guesses do we get on if you won the bet or not?

My only fear in getting that listing, William Feela, is what else has the homeowner deferred, and how will the home inspection go from that point forward. I hope you get that thing sold, QUICK!

Yikes and Double Yikes!!  Talk about 'false advertising' in the name of those ants - tearing down as opposed to building up William Feela!  What a great picture and informative Blog.  That was an easy Bet to win, and totally agree with J.R. Schloemer, CRS about other possible deferred maintenance.

I would certainly say it looks like you won and those guys look like they were really hard at work in there too.
