William's Blog...with a smile!

WE paid the ultimate price!

The 4th of July , like so many other holidays have lost their meaning.

But for me, I will NEVER forget.

My family since WWI has lost 17 family members,   12 in WWI alone.

This is nothing compared to our forefathers who first fought to make  us free.

My Grandfather was the sole living male of his families lineage,  So he was called off the Russian front lines.

There were uncles and cousins along the way all the way through Vietnam.

Sadly, so many people take what they did for granted and even scoff at the idea of fighting for our country.

The 4th celebrates our freedom but should also celebrate those who still today fight.

If the Politicians would get their heads  out of the southern orifice things may change a bit.

But for now I will just celebrate the day at  hand!

Morning William.

My dad served in the U.S. Army for 11 years.  Like you I will celebrate the 4th, in my own way,

My son served 20 years in the U.S. Navy.  And, I share your thoughts about re-positioning the heads of politicians!

I fear the hope that politicians will ever remove their head from their ass is a bit futile.
