Should a seller say home the Holiday weekend in case of an offer?

NO NO NO!!!

Get out of dodge and let our agent work.

With you gone every short notice showing can be granted.

The buyer of your house may be one of those short notice people.

 

Get out of dodge.  leave your cell phone number with your agent and if an offer comes I, you can communicate

with them and get  home to sign papers if needed.

 

Leave and let your agent do their job!

Morning for the third time William.

Around here agents encourage people to not be home when someone requests a showing.  99.999% of them do what the agents requests.

In contrast of buying, selling is just the total opposite.as you don't need to be home!

The beauty of the age we are dwelling in, rather than how it was 36 years ago when I got into business, is we have technology that allows us to stay in touch.  And, even signatures can be handled with technology.  When I was first licensed, we were only beginning to see fax machines.

I tell my sellers to go away for the first weekend, if not the week.  Let the house sell itself, we'll be in touch if needed.

I find that when Sellers are relaxed (on vacation) they attract the best buyers.

These days you can do everything online anyway. I have negotiated contracts before where almost all parties involved were out of town.
