You can't get this farmer off the land!

I grew up on the farm.

It was a hard life but a rewarding life.

When I moved away from home, I lived in an apartment.

It was more like JAIL.

I was finally able to get into a small house in town, but still not happy.

I missed the animals and the wildlife.

today, I don't have the animals, but  I have a lot of wildlife.

That is just fine with me!

Just two of the more than dozen visitors I get.

William,

I can relate to that.  I love having wildlife around.  Yesterday late afternoon, when we went jogging I saw an young golden eagle.  That was a treat.  A

Some people yearn for the wide open spaces and not the confines of apartment. I know I'm that way William!

When one gets used to having plenty of space, it is difficult to adapt to a smaller amount of space for sure.

I like a little privacy and a garden myself, but I so live in  a community now because of the great schools for my children.

I have been invaded by raccoons and possums.  I trap them and relocate them.  However, I have no idea how I would deal with a skunk or a bear.

And what cute visitors they are William Feela although I wouldn't want my dogs to meet that bear!

Morning William.

The best fun days I had as a kid was on the farm.  I know we have bears around here, but they are seldom seen

Hi William Feela -- we were raised at opposite ends of the spectrum... so for me "apartment style" living is perfect! There are days I still miss my NYC coop on Park Avenue... I could enjoy the greenery and flowers on the Park Avenue Mall from my windows, walk over to Central Park in about 2 minutes, had two doormen at my front door and a live-in super who could fix anything that went wrong!

William,

We have some wildlife around as well we actually have heard coyotes at night in the distance and there used to be bobcats roaming around they have since gone!

William, I remember my father talking about growning up on a farm and his love of nature, which carried on to me.  Glad you get back to a place where wild things are around.  That bear must be hoping for more bird seed!
