William's Blog...with a smile!

Do you give your information freely?

In today's world of spam and scams, putting  personal info on the web can be costly,

and dangerous.

Today's teen's are big contributors of this info.

They think nothing of giving complete personal information to complete strangers.

There are no secrets now days.

There is also no such thing as a secure account.

Just look at some of the social sites that have been hacked that claimed to be so secure.

Morning William.

If you attached anything to this, it is not showing up.  I do agree, there are no secrets in this world of technology

There are no secrets online. My dad refused to purchase anything online because he didn't want his data out there. I purchase a lot on line. I thought he was antiquated but now think he had the right idea.

Good morning William Feela. Love that cartoon and so apropos. I am also always amazed at what information people hand out. Everytime you check out at a store they ask for your phone and/or email address. And every time I say no way!

Good morning William.  I do not give out very much personal information.  Though, it's tough to keep it a secret.

Good morning William Feela ,

I love the cartoon! I give very little information out and just like Nina Hollander when stores ask for my phone number or email address I always say no!!

Good morning William - this is big area and I am extremely careful. Fortunately, so are my daughters. It used to be said don’t do something that you don’t want on the front page of the paper. Well everything is now on “the front page.”

Many social media  users are very careless with the information they provide.

As long as it's out there then there will always be someone who can steal it.

I have noticed a change in attitude about freely giving out my information.  For example, my land line which I use for business, and has my number pasted all over the place, is subject to about a half dozen robo-calls a day.  I have learned to give out my cellphone number to only a select few.

Hi William- that picture is priceless!!!!  and yes, we give out way too much information.

I do share a lot, but not information that can be used to access parts of my life that don't need access.
