William's Blog...with a smile!

I am not as good as our friend Roy!

I love photography.

I just don't do enough of it.

I have taken some classes and I am decent with my camera.

But...I am no Roy Kelly

If Roy took a photo of this same flower it would come alive.

I personally like to do wildlife.   This owl was in the back yard  and I needed a flashlight to shine on him to get enough light for a picture.

Momma Loon is turning her eggs.

I showed this to a Wildlife Officer and he had never seen this in 29 years as an officer.

No, I am no Roy Kelly...But, I hope you still enjoyed!!!

Good morning, William Feela. I think you did quite well on the whole. Certainly better than I would have done (but then I hate taking pictures and it shows!).

I'm sure you could pop the colors on the flower with an editing program. But you're right - Roy Kelley  is pretty darn good capturing the beauty of flowers. I like the owl shot - good one. And who can't appreciate loons?  Good job, William.

We all agree that Roy Kelley photos are stunning and delightful.  However, I enjoyed yours especially the loon.  I love how you captured the pose and the reflection.  Keep taking photos. A

Thanks for the kind words. The more you practice, the better you will be.

And, photographs need to be edited to show the best.

Nature is so beautiful and it's always nice to go for a photowalk.

Some people really do seem to have a knack for taking pictures but I think your pictures look great my friend.

These are what you might call "raw" photographs. A little time in the editing room will make them pop. The basics are all there William. You can make them pop with some fine tuning. I find that the key is not to overdo it.

Morning William.

Frankly sir, I do not see anything wrong with the ones you provided to us today.  Sure beats what I can do with a camera.
