North Branch, Minnesota in the deep freeze?

North branch, Minnesota is cold.

Well, not really a deep freeze.

But, still much colder than normal.

A lot of complaining and a lot of flowers and tree buds destroyed by the cold.

Many people refused to believe it could freeze yet.

But the average last day of frost is towards the end of May.

But, with little snow and seeing the ground bare for most of the winter...spring is slow a coming!

Good morning William.  Warm temps here but the rain has already started. 6.59" forecast for the next 24 hours.  Time to get out the waders and make sure the boat is filled with gas..

Ready to fix the ravages of the lawn that lost in the snow plowing exercise. Frozen ground was slower to happen and the grass gets ripped, guaged when plowing the white stuff over early winer so will be manning a power broom and repairing divits and roll backs this weekend William Feela ! Hope your mercury rises.

We have friends driving to the twin cities this weekend for a wedding...with their winter coats...here it is a "day at a time"...hitting 70 and back down to 30's.

Good morning William. Having lived in northern Wisconsin and now in western Massachusetts, I get it. I don't plan on summer until it comes in June.

It has been unseasonably cold this April...not near the forecast, but then what's new

I always wait until June before doing any planting, far too many frosts in late may and early June.
