Does the sports programs dictate where you move to?

Many parents are very picky about the school that their kids go to.

I can relate to that on the academic part of this discussion.

But many people move because of sports.

It seams people think that their kids will get more scholarships with a good high school.

But, the school needs to also be known for it's academics.

If the child is not holding a good grade average...being great in sports won't do them a bit of good.

So, when choosing school, remember...they are there to learn and that will carry them their entire life!

William Feela - with kids already grown up, this is not a concern for me. However, many buyers do check the 'school rating' (nothing to do with sports program!)

All that I care about is the academics, that is why we moved back to Wisconsin before the kids got into school, we wanted the best in the nation.

Good morning William.  In our area we have 5 of the top rated schools in the state.  Of course the University of Arkansas is just a 20 minute drive.  GO HOGS!

Way to many parents put to much emphasis on sports for the kids.
