William's Blog...with a smile!

An afternoon with friends.

Today we entertained some friends after church.

My wife collects snowmen.

She has surpassed 500.

Most at church had a had time grasping that.

Well, after a tour of the house, they now believe.

I think the biggest question that I heard about it wasn't how much time but WHY?

It makes her happy, that is reason enough.

Just a very small sample

Excellent reason William Feela , I look forward to dropping by some time and seeing that collection, and popping open a cool one.

"It makes her happy,  that is reason enough"  - That sounds like a perfect reason to me William Feela ...  I've never collected anything but I've had friends that enjoy having collections -

I've seen all kinds of collections, but "snowmen" is a first!   500?  Very impressive.

Five hundred snowmen is a bunch of snowmen - No question about that!

Hi, William Feela, I saw your comment on a  Georgie Hunter R(S) 58089 post about living in a little shack or hut on Maui.   Your comment was on preferring a little cabin somewhere up NORTH,

William, during the Depression Years, my Dad paid $ .25  for a job which was with a lumber company in the Wisconsin North Woods, Newald, Wisconsin.  He built a little log cabin.  Perhaps it is for sale. Oh, one thing, they told me icicles formed in the inside during cold winters... Maybe Maui would be a better choice?!?

That is a wonderful collection - 500 snowmen.

Good morning William.  My wife has a stroke when I go to buy golf balls.  I have enough now to be able to play for a long time.  Still looking for some specials.

And I thought I had a lot of cats in my collection... don't think it's 500, but then I haven't counted. To keep our grandsons busy when they were little, my husband would have them go around the house and count all the cats.

Good morning William.  It's a good thing that these aren't real snowmen or there would be a lot of indoor puddles in your home.

Good morning William. That is the best reason of all: because it makes me happy.

Lots of collectors out there, I met a woman at church that talked us into coming over and seeing her nativity scenes, several hundred of them.

Bill, snowmen make me ask if you have gotten your average amount of snow yet for this time of year?
