Some winter fun...

Winter can be a lot of fun, once you get the work done.

I think back as a kid some of the fun we had after the work was done.

Catching snow flakes on our tongues was always a fun thing to do.

But, when we did do it, we were very very careful as to where.

What winter outside games do you remember?

As kids growing up in the city, we would take our sleds and ride them down the streets with slopes.  If the plows came by we would pelt the windows with snowballs.

Good morning William.  I stayed indoors except when the livestock needed feeding.

Our winters were always pretty mild.  We just continued to play kick ball in the streets, hid and seek, tennis etc.  The weather doesn't change too much here.  I can only remember a few times of snow in Texas-then building snowmen and snow ball fights!  Sounds like James Dray was having the most fun!

I certainly remember how fun it was to be a kid.  I remember one time when it snowed, my brother and I built an igloo.  It looked good, but not great.  It happened to snow again that night and the igloo got covered with snow and looked perfect in the morning.  We patted it down and the igloo was now perfect, we had fun!

Good morning William. I do remember catching the snowflakes in my mouth as a kid. Cute cartoon.

That's very funny and I saw on the news report this morning that you have received about a foot of snow in the last day.

WE had some great hills to slid on.   Still do with the grandkids.

William

When we look at winter with the heart of a child . . . . Winter is fun.

Good luck and success.

I remember sledding and snowball fights and being so cold and longing for hot chocolate. Good memories.

Fortunately I never caught any snowflakes like these special bird snow flakes.

That would just seem to be a very cruel couple of birds

We wish you all a Very Merry Christmas and Happy New Year
