William's Blog...with a smile!

Internet sites down all over the country.

A Cyber attach hit's much of the country. Some of the largest entities are hit.

Amazon and more.

People were unable to shop

People were unable to pay bills with their paypal account.

People were unable to work.

People were unable to...

I have been told to go paperless.

Are you kidding?

Hacks can get to these secure sites, what says the don't attach our storage sites.

What happened with the cloud gets hacked.

Are we to ingrained on our tech toys that we can't live when the net goes down.  Our toys tell us what to do next.

I wonder, will it remind us when to hit the restroom?

There must be an app for that also.

Bill, I do not rely on paperless, I always have a paper backup. (not sure why I do that, until now that is) However.... I do use many of the sites that were hit. I didn't know it happened until I saw your post. Now I have something MORE to worry about, LOL. Thanks!!!!!

The app for that is called the Bladder .... when it breaks ... then we depend on something else.  Pun intended.

I saw that news this evening.  It will be interesting to learn who is behind the hacking.

I know we lost internet in my town for an entire day. Everything shut down. There is one internet company that has most of the customers, because they were first locked people in. So that is why most of the town was down. Everyone uses the same company. I'm about to switch to a new company that is promising faster service, faster internet and they mean it. I have friends already using them, and they love this company.

Although I get your point. We've become so connected on the internet...it's difficult to do business without it. It's really a shame.

Good morning William.  I was out most of the afternoon and evening.  Thankfully I didn't notice it at all.

I do not trust anything where someone could get my access of information.

I don't do anymore than neccessary on the computer.

Unfortunately, it seems like my thermostat may have been a part of this attack.

I heard about this the next day, but was so busy outside that day that I never noticed the internet issues.
