Do you know your Ancestors?

There seems to be a push on finding out your ancestor's history.

The push includes  where your ancestors actually come from.

There are many sites  inviting you to check out your ancestry.

There are many people finding out that their heritage is not what they thought it was.

So, Have you ever thought about checking into yours?

I shook my family tree, and a bunch of nuts fell out!

I do know my ancestors, Bill, and have copies of documents going back some 200+ years. In Nazi Germany if you wanted to have a license to marry you had to prove you had no Jewish blood. As a result, those ancestors who were ready to marry during the Nazi times had to provide proof going back many generations of no Jewish blood. One of my mother's cousins had originals and made copies for many cousins for posterity.

I've been fascinated with genealogy since I was a kid.  My ancestors have been kicking around this country since about 1629.  They first settled in New Amsterdam, now New York City, in the area which is known as Wall Street, but was a swamp back then.

All that being said, I have my share of nuts in the family.  They rank right up their with those who were politicians, scoundrels, and a pirate or two.

I think most of my family also came from the nut tree family.

When we check out our ancestry we come up with some interesting things.

Good luck and success.

Good morning William.  On one side of my family I can trace back to the 1700's on the other side not so much.

Yes Bill, I suspect that we all may have a few nuts fall out if we shake our family tree.
