There is more to selling than just the MLS.

Sellers need to realize that there is more to selling a property than just listing it on the MLS.

There is so much more.

Marketing the property to people who can afford the home.

Marketing to a specific market...Horses, farmers, Hunters, and more.

Knowing the answers to the questions people will ask. Can we build a shed, can I have a garden, Pets?

Knowing about wells and septics and other zoning issues that directly affect the use of the property.

Can you cut down some of the trees in the yard or on the boulevard.

Ask the agent ot see some of their marketing.  Internet, newspaper, postcards.

As you see there is more to selling a property than just using the MLS.

William, we put our listings on Trulia, Realbird, Listing to Leads, Zillow and many others. You're right, if you're only using MLS to market a clients' property you're shortchanging both your client and yourself. Great post!

William

The MLS is a tool . . . . Is still takes a real estate professional to successfully put a real estate transaction together.

Good luck and success.

There are a lot of things and ways we work....sometimes unseen to capture the audience of buyers for sellers.

Very true William.  Though, many sellers know about the MLS they never even look to see how their listing appears on the system.

not all agents are created the same, some just list, others get out and sell it.
