Are able to speak in public?

This is a very hard thing to do for many.

Even when they know everyone just standing up to take can be very hard.

I for one am not held hostage to this.  I read a quote one time and it went like this...

The Greatest prison people  live in is the fear of what others people think of them.

That is a self imposed prison.

I actually enjoy speaking in front of groups and taught adult ladies Bible studies for years.  I rarely get nervous. If I do the first ime I am in front of a new group, the nerves only last a few seconds.

Some people get stage fright William. I had to speak at a dear friends wake recently and I could not finish what I had prepared, The friends brother was in the front row and he was nodding his head in agreement with me as I spoke and i could not handle it. His two young children were playing and did not understand what had happened to daddy.

Though I do not go out of my way to give speeches, I do find myself doing some public speaking at least once each month.

I enjoy speaking to groups.  I had some problems initially but the more you do it the easier it becomes.

Good morning William.  I had that illness at one time in my life.  Now, not at all

Yes, this is very true, William.  And many could use the key to let them out of this cell.

Good morning William. I like the quote and agree. I was shy as a kid but no longer. I love public speaking.

Not a fan of public speaking to a large audience. Have done it but prefer more intimate settings with a few people Bill.

William

I have spoke in public for many years . . . . and actually look forward to it.

Good luck and success.

My lip used to quiver and it was so hard. The more you do it the easier it gets though can't say it is easy yet.

I also am one of those who enjoys speaking in public. Perhaps you could try joining a toastmasters group. I originally joined my group to network and did get some referrals but I also was able to sharpen my skills as a speaker.
