Why are you pointing out the bad stuff?

This question was posed to me by a new client.

"Why are you showing me the bad things here?"


Because it is my job!


"Well the other agents that I was with never did that."


Well, I am not other agents.  I replied.


When I see material facts, I point them out.  That is part of what we are to do.  If we know of material facts we must disclose them and that I what I was doing.

I have said it before, The sloppy agents are the ones giving our profession a bad name!

I'm on the same page as you William Feela , I make it clear when I show houses it's my job NOT to have starry eyes so I can clearly see the flaws that are going to cost my clients dollars and/or head aches.

Chances are that this guy's former agent did not know enough to recognize the problems, most dont.
