When traveling, get off the beaten trail

My wife and I took a day for a road trip...no real destination, just hit some of the small towns and see what they have to offer.

We stopped by a small diner.  Not fancy at all.

Even the people were not dressed real well.

We were warmly welcomed.

It was busy in this 2 horse town.

We gave our order from a small menu.

The food arrived and it was excellent.

We have don this very often and have found that we get some great meals

with more than enough to eat.

Traveling....get off the beaten trail for a while...you may be pleasantly surprised.

I love the serendipity of getting off the beaten track - there is so much in this country to celebrate.... if you get off the beaten track.

I like the down to earth scene William.

William Feela it sounds like you had a great day, I always enjoy visiting new diners and it seems like the ones way out in the middle of no where have some very tasty food.

OK I have to admit that I enjoy  traveling off the beaten path and we never know what we will discover.

Good luck and success.

Hi Bill... a great analogy for life in general to get off the beaten path from time to time and do something different.

Good morning William. The best thing about travel is getting off the main road and seeing what you find.

I love to just get into the car and travel without any real plan or agenda in place. It's very relaxing.

I believe in taking the roads less traveled. It's fun, and you never know what you might discover.

"Off the beaten trail", that is where we generally end up on most of our travels.
