Last night I heard them whistle...

I love living in the country or as some call it Rural Area.

WE have all kinds of wildlife.

At night time, we hear several different owls at different times.

Last night I could hear the clearly in the yard.

It was a soft half whistle.

I went out and could hear 2 talking back and forth.

So, I grabbed my camera and with the help of a flashlight was able to create enough light on them to get these shots.

This is the first one I located.  Unlike the great horned owls that are so skid-dish, these guys were happy to pose.

These are either Barred owls or Gray owls.  I have been told both ways.  I need to take the time and look it up.

This is the second one I found...Some nights I hear 3 -5 of these owls at a time.

William Feela That is so cool, I have never been able to catch an owl on my camera.  Coincidentally last night I fell asleep hearing the " who cooks for you" song of the Barred Owl.

Very impressive Bill, you always get the best wildlife shots, I generally only see these when I have flushed one out, by that time all I can do is duck.

Very neat photos, William.  They certainly don't look scared of you at all.

Bill, you are really getting ahold on this photography thing.  I can see why your MLS pictures are so good.
