My alarm went off at 4 am.
70 miles to the cabin to get the boat and then 5 miles to the lake.
In two hours 10 Bass and 4 northern pike.
That was all good and well, but I was wondering about the loon on the nest.
Was she (or he) still sitting on the eggs?
I was up to the cabin to do some maint. but I took time to go see.
There she was (HE), sitting quietly. I approached slowly and stopped at ab0out 75 feet.
I moved slowly as not to frighten her.
It had rained just a little a few minutes before...
A blown up photo shows the rain drops on her (his) head.
Glad you got a day off. Beautiful picture
That's a great photo William and I'm glad you were able to catch some fish!
That's a nice little picture, William! Life seems so simple for that loon!
CONGRATULATIONS on having this blog FEATURED in the PHOTOS group!
Congrats on the successful fishing trip, William. And thanks for the update on the loon.
Good morning William. So how many guesses do we get before we can figure out what you had for lunch or dinner. Hmm, this may take awhile...
Good morning, Bill... that is one beautiful picture. What a lovely way to start your day.
What a great photo capture! Sounds like you had a very good morning of fishing too!
Are you going to be there for the hatching???
I hope you get the young ones early
I love your description William. You live a great life. You did not say if you caught anything? No fish stories.
Noah, I did mention the fish, you must have missed it.
Hello William
Wonderful day you had and when Vegas Bob lived in Minnesota, I could make loon calls and call either male or female loons to me from across the lake.
Great photograph William ...
Great catch with the fishing and with the camera as well. My 7 AM walk usually has the golf clubs
Amazing photo Bill, much better than the one that I shot this week.
Ah we all need time to recharge the batteries. I love to go fishing and long walks in the forest. Thanks for sharing today.
