Today I checked out some of my fishing gear and started to dust off the boat.
It is an annual ritual at my house.
One that I enjoy with a bit of pain.
Yes...I did say Pain.
Now, I am sure that there are a few that feel the same pain even without a boat.
How many have felt the pain?
Oh yes! My family did a lot of boating in the 1970s. I remember a couple really good injuries from the trailer hitch!
Yes, I've brused my shins many a time William Feela
I borrowed a pickup truck from a friend. I walked around the back of it after dark, and hit that @#$% trailer hitch right in the shin bone. It was sore for a week.
That's funny. But it's so worth it to have the boat on the water.
Yup, I get it on the right and the left William but I pay much better attention since that first one. It's one of the times I have a harsh conversation with myself.
Hi William. Ouch. You have brought back painful memories. Thanks.
Good morning William,
Ha and not just a boat but also many a farming attachment as well. Glad thos days are done.
Two more weeks to launch day as long as I finish the bottom paint on time!
Make yourself an astonishing day.
Yes, I get it from the boat and all the trailers and even when I don't pull anyting but leave the receiver in
It seems to be an ailment suffered by many, but after a lifetime of hauling trailers and just about every thing else, I dont recall ever hitting my shin on a trailer hitch.
William, ouch! Maybe they should make protective padding for fishermen - or anyone else who tows something on the back of their vehicle!
