Open enrollment in Minnesota

I get many clients that want a certain school district for their kids.  Some for academic reasons and some for sports.

Finding the right home in the right school district can be a challenge.

Minnesota schools has some open enrollment programs where you can live outside the district you want the kids to go to.  You must provide transportation which can be an issue, but it is a possible option.

Talk to me when looking for a home and let's see if an Open Enrollment plan works for your family.

Hi Bill,

Wisconsin also has open enrollment - this time of year for next year.  So you have to know well in advance where you'll be and where you want to go.  I do think it is a good program though.

I'm in favor of open school enrollment . . . . It keeps the schools competitive to deliver better educate to the students.

Good luck and success.

Good morning William.  We have three school districts who are ranked top schools in the state.  People are very particular what school their kids attend.  Around here if you don't live within that district you don't get to go to that school.

We don't see to much of this in my area as the distance to take kids to the next town for school every day makes it difficult
