What are you willing to pay?

My kids enjoy going to concerts.

I went to a couple and needed binoculars to see the stage.

For me to get a good seat is way to expensive.

I am not saying that they are not worth it, I wold prefer to buy a new fishing rod.

The US Figure Skating Finals are in St. Paul, Minnesota.  The good seats going for around $150.

Now, I am not that much into skating, but my wife loves it.

All of the good tickets are gone so, although I offered she said no...not worth the money for marginal seats.

Now, If I take and replaced skating with my favorite band for the same seating would I go...

NO!  The fishing rod will win out.

But for those that enjoy that I am glad...keeps my lakes less busy

I am one of those rare souls who absolutely loves live events.  I would pay the ridiculous prices of good seats and have many times.  I usually use my business connections to acquire them, but occassionally have had to pay an outrageous amount.  I get that some people would just as soon watch these events on TV or not go, lucky we are all different!  Good Post.

, I so agree with you on this decision!   Maybe it is an age thing... but I know Robert May , is correct in getting out to see the people even if it is at a crazy crowded event... that cost an arm and a leg!

Good luck with your fishing.  It sounds like that is what you prefer.

Back in the day, I bought concert tickets to the Rolling Stones, the Who, the Grateful Dead, Led Zeppelin, and countless other shows typically for $6 or $8.  It was usually "festival seating", meaning that you could make your way to the front if you got there early.

Today, those bands do "nostalgia tours" for $200 a pop!

Good morning William.  I haven't been fishing or hunting in several years.  The desire is there but the body is just saying. "are you nuts, you have a tough time just walking around the house."  So I follow what the old bod tells me and I just watch TV or go for a short walk.

Bill, I am with you.  I don't like crowds and I like something more tangible for my money

Money and how it is spent certainly has changed directions with me over the years.  When I was young, it was about collecting and acquiring material things. Now, I'm trying to get rid of that stuff, and spend more on good experiences, which don't clutter up my rooms and closets!

I'm like Fred Griffin , remembering getting in cheap and making my way to the front William Feela . Today... I'd rather snuggle on the couch with my Bride and a bowl of popcorn.
