Tonight it is with heavy hearts that a relative has passed.
James Swanson was a jolly guy in his mid 50's.
Jim was an avid outdoors man and Deer Hunting was is passion.
Sadly, Jim was leaving his stand last night when one of the steps let loose.
Jim fell and broke his neck. He didn't survive.
Jim was not a careless person. I know he checked his stand out before season with a couple other hunters of his group. They checked all the stands for safety.
Sadly, Jim was a very large man, and for what ever reason the step didn't hold up.
Please, when enjoying your passion, keep it as safe as possible.
Jim left behind a wife, and other family members.
Please pray for the family for strength
Prayers to you and Jim's family and friends.
Sorry to hear that. I had a friend that fell from his stand one time. He survived but laid his arm open from the elbow to his armpit. He was alone, wrapped his belt around his arm and managed to walk out. Took something like 120-140 stitches to sew him up.
Please offer my sympathies to the family. Perhaps they can take some solace in knowing he left this world doing something he loved. We should all be that lucky. Take care.
Good morning William. I am so very sorry for your loss. I will say a prayer.
Even when you are careful and believe all is good, accidents can happen...Prayers to the family
Bill, my next door neighbor and friend Terry Ray had just killed a deer and loaded it and was getting in the truck and had a heart attack and died. He was 58. It happened 3 days ago.
