Need to focus...

After being gone for just over 2 weeks, It is time to get down to business.

I was able to do a lot while on vacation in the evening, but getting home the major things needed attention right away.

I started out doing 3-4 things at once.

Soon, I realized I was spinning my wheels.

It was time to focus on one thing at a time.

Focus...many times it is faster than multi-tasking.

This Mule Deer Buck was focused on eating and not worried about my wife and I just 50 feet away as he grazed towards us.

William Feela today I focused on my least favorite chore, balancing the company checking accounts.

I totally agree - however, I still find myself often multi-tasking.  Focusing on one task is usually better.

So many of us pride ourselves on our ability to multi-task, William Feela but I learned that when I concentrate on one thing at a time, I do get more done.

Bob "RealMan" Timm ~ thank heavens, Bob, I have my husband to do all the books! After spending 20 years in the corporate world in finance, I'm happy not to be looking at any accounting schedules.

The last couple of weeks, have been fraught with one issue or another around my home.  I haven't been able to catch a break.  One thing I do know is that it has been adrenaline that has kept me in crisis mode, but it has been the ability to focus that has made some of those issues dissipate.

That's a nice buck, Bill.

I agree with you. I don't try too much multi tasking anymore. I prefer to set my priorities and focus on each task.

William, whatever the big guy is eating must taste better than humans!

So true multi tasking can only slow things down and opens us to making mistakes
