William's Blog...with a smile!

As citizens, sometimes we just can't take anymore.

We are told for our own safety, we should not fight back during a crime.  But, not all people believe in that.  In fact, many take it upon themselves to stop the crime before any help can even be summoned.  Many are successful and many are not.  Some even bring a smile to your face.  This is one of them...

An elderly Florida lady did her shopping and upon returning to her car, found four males in the act of leaving with her car.  She dropped her bags, and drew her handgun from her purse and proceeded to scream at the top of her lungs...

"I have a gun and I know how to use it.  GET OUT OF THE CAR !!!

The four men didn't wait for a second threat.  They got out and ran like mad.

The lady, now somewhat shaken proceeded to load her shopping bags into the car.  She got into the front seat but was shaking so much that she couldn't get the key into the ignition.   She tried and tried and then realized why.

It was the same reason taht she sondered why there was a football, a frisbee and 2-12 packs of beer in the front seat.

A few minutes later she found her car parked 5 spaces down.  She loaded her bags and drove to the police station to report what she had down.  The Sargent whom she told the story to couldn't stop laughing.

He pointed to the other end of the counter where four pale men were reporting a car jacking by a mad elderly lady described as white less than 5 feet tall, glasses, curly white hair and carrying a hand gun.

No Charges were filed.

MORAL...If you are going to have a senior moment...make it memorable.

True story:

Once I left my preteen daughter sitting in the car (she locked the doors) while I ran into a convenience store to pay for gas.  I returned, opened the door (assuming my daughter unlocked it) and got inside the car, put my key into the ignition and tried to turn it, it wouldn't turn.  I then noticed I was not in MY car, but an identical model, color ect... next to mine.  My daughter was in the car next to me (MY CAR) pointing and laughing her butt off at me.

I learned a lesson that day and haven't had one of those (pre senior) moments again.  Thankfully I don't the owner of the car I actually got in ever saw me so there was no "confrontation"

Awesome! I almost yelled at a guy for sitting on my car 2 weeks ago outside the food store....yes it was not my car. Good thing I did not empty my clip into him.

I have heard about this and yes, I would have to say that is truly one memorable moment for everyone involved. I wouldn't have pressed charges either.

What an embarrassing senior moment.  If that is what Ihave to look forward to as I get older....at least it could be funny and unpredictable.
