You should have hired a professional...

A few weeks back, My buyer had an offer accepted.

We ordered a home inspection.

We then made a list  of issues (not petty ones.)

After the repairs were made we had the right to re-inspect.

The home owner did the repairs himself...   BAD DECISION!!!

Most of he issues were worse than when we asked for repairs.

The guy admits he is no handy man.

So, WHY DIDN'T YOU HIRE A PROFESSIONAL???

Said that he could not afford to.

Well, we offered to  take the home  As-Is.  At a price reduction.

The seller agreed and his loss was around $10,000.

A professional would have cost under $1000.

Trying to save a dollar by pinching a penny seldom works.
